frankly, i did not expect much out of sewanee. i knew it was beautiful, but it is one of rhodes' rival schools and in a location so different than memphis. so, i naturally assumed there was nothing to do there! although i was right in thinking the location is very remote, there is certainly plenty to do. new sewanee friends were great hosts, taking us on their favorite trails (there are so many seeing as the campus "domain" boasts 13000 acres), suggesting the curry chicken salad at stirling's coffee shop, and rolling their eyes when we rhodents gawked at the many deer roaming around.
