A Downtown Disaster

Wednesday evening saw a great many European Studies students talking a little bit too loudly for the comfort of the regulars at the Fox & Roman. This was followed by a “downtown disaster.” Let me tell you, trying to walking forty-five minutes with a large group of study abroad girls who don’t exactly know their way downtown and who had a fine time trying the local cider beforehand is rather infuriating. Brenna and I seemed to be the only two who paid attention on our many trips down to the city square and had to lead the way, as we clueless girls from Tennessee tried to seek out a cool, downtown pub. We never really did. We did spend a hot minute in a very colorful and loud pub - no, that’s not the right word. Club? Lounge? British hippie hotspot? Our one good decision of the night, we opted out of the walk back and splurged for a cab home. A cute Betsey dress wasted on a downtown disaster…
